Prasad is an independent documentary & ad filmmaker and cinematographer working across remote cultures and landscapes to provide a voice for those who otherwise would never be able to appear on screen. He's immensely drawn to the people, their ways of life, the oppression, and the complicated social stigmas they had to face. His camera work is guided by natural light, restraint, and a deep respect and connection for the people in front of the lens.
A small collection of the people and stories this work has been built around.
Nine years of filmmaking and thirteen years of professional experience across development communications, fundraising campaigns and government outreach — built leading full production lifecycles from field research to final delivery.
End-to-end production of documentaries, fundraising films and campaign films — leading stakeholder consultations, field research and multidisciplinary creative teams.
Interview-led and human interest storytelling, including aerial cinematography, shot with sensitivity in vulnerable and grassroots community settings.
Translating complex social issues into authentic, emotionally resonant films for NGOs, CSR initiatives and government institutions, with a track record of supporting fundraising and awareness outcomes.
A sense of scale behind the stories — measured in the causes they've moved.

Prasad is a documentary & ad filmmaker, cinematographer, and producer based in Bengaluru, with over nine years of filmmaking experience and thirteen years across development communications. He co-founded Project Chitram in 2019, intending to narrate a 1,000 stories before the reel runs out. And since then, he has worked with non-profits, government institutions, CSR initiatives and grassroots organisations across India — on films spanning child welfare, education, healthcare, women and child safety, anti-human trafficking and community development, particularly focusing on UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Behind every programme, intervention and statistic are people whose experiences deserve to be documented with dignity, authenticity and humanity. That belief — listening first, building trust, and representing people honestly — is what every story here is built on.
